My name is Chandra Baylor, MS, LMFT, R-DMT, CEDS. I use a wide variety of modalities in my approach depending on the needs of the client. The focus of my practice is to manifest healing, promote new perspectives, and create resilience.
My approach
Based on my background as a dance therapist, I look at everything from a mind-body perspective. I also incorporate CBT, DBT, Adlerian psychology, Schema therapy, IFS, and a number of other approaches where appropriate.
My focus
Many of my clients are suffering from eating disorders and low self-esteem. I also work with children 10 and up, teens, adults, and couples and help with managing anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and stress.
My communication style
I like to provide a lot of transparency around what we are doing and what I am seeing in therapy. I use collaborative and direct communication and always welcome feedback. I also look at non-verbal communication as important information to process as well.
My goals for you
I believe that some clients benefit from goal setting and others don't. I am happy to create some collaborative, measurable and achievable treatment goals or just focus on doing therapy and keep treatment goals in the background.
My first session with you
Clients should expect to feel welcome and understood. The first session is about getting to know each other, history taking, and creating some sort of a plan going forward.
