I specialize in mental health and addiction counseling using a person-centered approach. I work with clients facing isolation, relationship challenges, substance use, and autism spectrum concerns. My goal is to help you feel heard and supported.

My focus

I work with children, teens, adults, and elderly clients facing isolation, lack of support, substance use, homelessness, relationship difficulties, foster care challenges, bullying, and autism spectrum concerns. I'm especially comfortable with those who feel alone or disconnected.

My approach

I draw from ACT, DBT, and CBT, adapting my approach to your unique needs. Because my work is person-centered, I pull from other modalities when necessary for your well-being. I believe therapy should meet you where you are.

My communication style

I'm warm and use a calm, steady tone. I listen carefully and ask open-ended questions to help you explore what matters most. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe to share.

My journey to mental healthcare

Mental health struggles and loss shaped my family for generations. I sought therapy at fourteen and still connect with that therapist today. After losing my husband and raising five children, I pursued this work to offer the same compassionate presence I received.

My goals for you

I help clients understand their deepest desires and how they want to obtain them, mostly by asking questions. Clients know what they want. I believe it is a therapist's work to help them put words to it.

Our first session

Intake is done via conversation style. I also allow clients to "vent" a lot. It has been my experience that many people are eager to share with someone willing to listen.
