Hi there, I'm Scherry!

I believe we all need help navigating the challenges of life at times. I work with my clients as a team to help them feel supported and accepted. There aren't any easy answers when we have been traumatized and stuck because of former hurt and pain, but through acceptance and understanding I can help you feel in control again.

My focus

I believe the focus of therapy should be what you need it to be. Are there past wounds that haven't healed - or are there new wounds that you need help to manage? Whatever the reason you have for seeking therapy, will be respected. We will find solutions together.

My approach

My approach to therapy is transparency. We will work together to help you gain insights and feel empowered. There aren't any perfect people - but you can learn to accept validation and realize that you matter - you will not be alone.

My communication style

I believe in transparency and honesty. I will support and encourage you, and I will help you accept the truth of the experience. You may not always want to hear that you could have made a better choice, but I will never judge you. I am not perfect either - no one is -and we will help you gain power within yourself to handle or battle as needed.

My journey to mental healthcare

I had a happy childhood with some unhappy and painful experiences. Through understanding people, I learned that grownups do not always make good decisions. I was fascinated by the poor decisions I saw being made, and realized that through education and training I could help others find their voice and their power.

My goals for you

I help clients reach goals through open communication. Through exploring past experiences in life, we are able to understand why we made the decisions we made. Changing patterns and setting reasonable expectations in treatment helps us find our way and reach positive outcomes.

Our first session

A client can expect support and acceptance in their first session. I will listen and I will guide. I will not judge or critique. I will ask you what you want and expect from therapy, and we will work together to help you achieve the goals that you need for your life to make the best "you" possible.
