My communication style

I believe in setting an open environment one where you feel heard. I use more direct feedback as well as teaching. My goal is for you to have the skills when you need them. I am also a strong believer in humor and the need for that in our lives and will bring that to session at times.

My journey to mental healthcare

While living in the Middle East I discovered my passion for working with people and Social Work. Following that experience I spent 14 years as an Active Duty Army Clinical Social Worker treating Soldiers and their families in the US, Europe, and Asia. Following that I began working with other populations and have enjoyed learning more.

My goals for you

I love to begin by learning what the goals of my client are, as we move through the therapy process those may evolve and I am here to help with that evolution and ultimately accomplishing those. I believe in a collaborative approach led by the individuals needs and desires.

Our first session

During our first session, we will get to know each other. Questions of me are great so that we can make sure we have equal understanding. I will also ask questions about you to make sure I understand what brings you to therapy.
