I am a licensed psychologist in Arizona. I'd like to welcome you to my practice. I use a variety of techniques when working with clients. Which techniques depend on you, the client, the issues that you bring to therapy, and your therapeutic goals. Therapy is unique to each individual, and the most important is to get to know you and your concerns.
My focus
I find that people who are seeking support for mental health issues are almost always experiencing grief in some form or another. I find that people who are dealing with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) are dealing with grief due to unresolved past trauma. That is not to say that our work together will be 100% trauma-focused.
My approach
I use a combination of skills rather than any one modality. My therapy draws on Client-Centered Psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Mindfulness. I employ Marshall Rosenberg's Non-Violent Communication framework for working with interpersonal conflict. I use Transpersonal Psychology for case-conceptualization.
