I use a variety of techniques when working with clients, depending on you, the issues you bring, and your therapeutic goals. Therapy is unique to each individual. The most important technique is getting to know you and your concerns. My goal is to help you resolve what brings you here and develop skills along the way.
My focus
I work with people seeking support for mental health issues who are almost always experiencing grief in some form—grief over past events, present circumstances preventing the future they want, or inability to create the life they want now. I also work with people dealing with PTSD and unresolved past trauma.
My approach
I use a combination of skills rather than any one modality. My therapy draws on Client-Centered Psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Mindfulness. I employ Non-Violent Communication for working with interpersonal conflict. I'm interested to learn about all the various aspects of you.
