My communication style

You can expect from me a clear, non-judgmental, and supportive communication style. I strive to create a space that allows you to communicate as freely and openly as you would like. I practice empathic and active listening to provide you with opportunities to reflect on your experiences with an empathetic person.

My journey to mental healthcare

I decided to become a therapist at the age of 17 when I was introduced to Psychology and Counseling in an AP class in high school. I had lost my father when I was 6, and it was in this class that I gained the awareness that if my family had sought counseling services at the time of our loss, we would have processed his death in a healthier way.

My goals for you

Together, we identify and set goals that are important to you and your mental health at the beginning of your journey. As you discover more about yourself, your goals may evolve, and we can adapt our plan at any time. I am here to provide you with the support, tools, and resources you may need throughout your journey to help you reach your goals.

Our first session

Our first session is what I call a “get-to-know-you session”. It is an opportunity for us to get to know one another. We will discuss what brings you into therapy, your background, and what goals you may have during our time together. We will briefly talk about your expectations for therapy and what will be realistic to achieve.
