Hi there, I'm Lori!

I am a licensed psychologist who works with anxiety, mood concerns, addiction, and life stressors. My approach is collaborative and narrative-focused, shaped by work in psychiatric emergency settings, the prison system, substance use recovery, and private practice. Therapy with me is a steady, non-judgmental space to slow down and move forward.

My focus

I work primarily with adults, both individually and in couples therapy. I’m most comfortable supporting people navigating anxiety, mood concerns, substance use, relationship stress, and major life transitions. Many of my clients are high-functioning, reflective, and feeling stuck despite outward success.

My approach

My work is grounded in Narrative Therapy. I listen closely to the stories people carry about themselves and their lives, and we gently examine which of those stories are helping and which may no longer fit. Therapy is collaborative, practical, and focused on creating more room for choice and clarity.

My communication style

I bring an honest, grounded presence to sessions. My background in emergency settings has shaped a respect for the seriousness of what people carry, so while I am kind and non-judgmental, I am also clear and direct. Clients often describe the work as steady, thoughtful, and real.

My journey to mental healthcare

I was drawn to therapy by a long-standing curiosity about meaning, change, and how people endure difficult experiences. Over time, working in high-intensity settings clarified my belief in therapy as careful, human work. I’m driven by helping people reconnect with what matters and move forward with intention.

The first session is a chance to slow things down. We’ll talk about what’s bringing you in, what feels most pressing, and what you hope might change. There’s no pressure to have the right words. We’ll move at a pace that feels manageable.
