My communication style

My goal in session is to provide support as well as structure and redirection or a new perspective. At times, I may challenge you to reflect on certain areas you are struggling with and look at the role you play in certain situations, though this may be challenging.

My journey to mental healthcare

I started my education in nursing with a minor in mental health. In the end, I chose to move forward with my focus on mental health with a strong foundation and understanding of the biological components that contribute to our health and mental health.

My goals for you

I like to focus on the client's goals for themselves as well as fold in clinical feedback regarding those goals as appropriate. I also like to take time during sessions to explore progress towards those goals.

Our first session

First sessions generally include a review of the limitations of confidentiality, a discussion regarding client expectations of sessions, and what the client's general concerns and goals are. Lastly, I like to review what to expect as far as the structure of sessions, as well as provide clinical feedback regarding recommendations for treatment focus
