I am a psychotherapist who provides effective psychoeducation and therapy. My sessions include educating you about distressing situations to promote awareness and empower you to self-regulate and self-heal. My style is collaborative. The more I know about you, the better I can work with you to jointly develop a plan for your therapy.
My focus
I provide therapy for adults who have experienced sexual traumas, abandonment, loss, illness of loved ones, abuse, physical injuries, and life-threatening diagnoses—all of which entail PTSD symptoms. I also work with clients experiencing generalized anxiety, depression, OCD, and adjustment to significant life changes.
My approach
When you experience anxiety and depression, therapy often involves untangling past events and processing traumas that impede progress. I am skilled in treating complex traumas using EMDR, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Internal Family Systems. For specific problems, I use Solution-Focused and Brief Psychotherapy techniques.
