Cognitive-behavioral theory is a psychological approach that focuses on how thoughts, beliefs, and behaviors interact to influence mental health. I explore with you how your thoughts shape your emotions and behavior.

I provide a relaxed and comfortable environment for you to identify the issues you wish to address. Can't quite put your finger on what is wrong? You are not alone. I will help you identify your issues and priorities.

My journey to mental healthcare

I come from a family of people in the helping professions including teachers and law enforcement. I knew since high school I wanted to help people.

My goals for you

In the first session, I ask you to share what brings you to therapy. As I listen to your experiences, I tease out goals you might want to address. If you agree, we identify the goals and a realistic plan to reach a positive outcome. Goals can be modified at any time during the therapeutic journey.

During the first session, I review the confidential nature of our sessions and assure you that you have complete privacy. I usually say no one is in my home, except for my cocker spaniel.
