Hi there, I'm Victoria!

I have experience helping those impacted by cancer or other chronic illnesses and grief/loss. My approach to therapy is unique to each person that I meet with. I hope to be a part of your journey.

My focus

I have the most experience working with clients who are dealing with an oncology diagnosis (whether their own or the diagnosis of a loved one) and those who have experienced the loss of a loved one. I am also able to help those dealing with anxiety and those going through sudden, unexpected changes in life.

My approach

Although I use an integrated approach, the most common theoretical approaches I use in my work are client-centered therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy.

My communication style

I like to create a safe and calm environment. My tone is calming, and I hope that clients will feel reassured that it is a judgment-free zone.

My journey to mental healthcare

When I started college, I thought I wanted to be a teacher. However, after taking a class in sociology, I was so interested in human behavior that it changed my path to become a social worker. What drove me to become a social work therapist was the desire to help others. I have an intuitive and empathic nature that helps me connect to people.

My goals for you

I try to make both long-term and short-term goals and go back and revisit them throughout the course of therapy because I know they are subject to change and evolve.

Our first session

Clients will have the time to discuss what brought them to therapy. I like to use the first meeting to learn as much as I can about you, something I will continue to do as we meet.
