I use evidence-based approaches combined with a highly conversational and collaborative style to guide you towards making connections from past experiences to your current state of being.

My focus

I work with adults who are experiencing anxiety, depression, and/or trauma and who are having difficulty navigating the emotions and thoughts that stem from these experiences.

My approach

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and motivational interviewing techniques to encourage exploration of past and current experiences, make connections using the cognitive triangle (thoughts, emotions, and behaviors) , process, and identify healthy coping skills to implement.

My communication style

My priority in our sessions will be to be clear and direct on information, use reflective listening to convey understanding, provide validation, and learn from you as well.

My journey to becoming a provider began with my interest in human behavior, thoughts, and feelings, how they all interconnect due to past experiences, and especially with childhood, culture, and environment.

We will collaborate on goal setting, and I will encourage you to share feedback on sessions. We will adapt as needed to ensure your therapeutic goals and needs are being met.

Our first session

Our first session will be focused on getting to know each other, building rapport, reflecting on past therapy experience (if applicable), your thoughts towards therapy, and providing you with a preliminary overview of what your treatment plan will be. I look forward to working with you!
