I work with people experiencing anxiety, depression, grief and loss, chronic diseases, and severe mental health issues. My approach is to work together to find relief or resolution from whatever brings you into therapy. I'm naturally laid-back and use humor to create a comfortable space.

I create a safe space where you can share your thoughts and feelings in a compassionate way. I understand starting therapy can be difficult, so I focus on making you feel comfortable. I use a combination of cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, strengths-based, and solution-focused approaches.

My style is very laid-back, which helps people feel safe and comfortable. I'm naturally extroverted and funny, and I love to talk and help people. I believe my communication style is one of my best characteristics as a therapist.

My journey to mental healthcare

Every job and natural interest led me to this career. As a child, I experienced the benefit of talking to someone outside my circle. I learned how helpful it is to discuss problems and identify ways to cope or make changes in your life.

My goals for you

Goal setting is person-centered—you set the goals for yourself. We identify a goal, choose a starting point, outline the steps required, begin taking action, and follow up on progress. We modify the approach when needed to help you reach your goal.

Our first session

The first session will be calm and nonthreatening. You'll discuss what brings you into therapy, I'll ask clarifying questions, and we'll talk about what you'd like to get out of therapy.
