I work with adults facing life transitions, including issues related to aging. These may include anxiety, depression, anger, grief, loss, suicidal ideation, abuse, trauma, health, caretaking, and financial concerns. I'll help you strengthen coping skills, reduce stress, identify resources, and work towards a safe and satisfying life.

My approach is client-centered. I want to know what brings you to therapy, your world, your resources, and your strengths. As you clarify goals, we'll discuss steps to achieve them. I'll help you keep yourself at the center of your life as you move forward.

My communication style

I want you to feel safe to express yourself. My tone is warm, and shared humor can help you relax. I'll inquire about your comfort and check in as we progress. I may gently challenge, provide information, and always support and encourage. I'm an attentive, curious listener and an active partner.

My journey to mental healthcare

I come from a family of helpers and knew early I wanted to support others. I became interested in how we think, behave, and relate to ourselves and others. I've worked with diverse populations and developed a rewarding career doing work I love.

I'm here to help you define your goals, and together we'll discuss steps to reach them. The pace is set by you and may change throughout therapy. Goals can be modified as circumstances change and should always feel within reach.

Our first session is a time for you to share why you've come and what you hope to gain. I'll ask questions to get to know you and understand what you want and need. You're encouraged to ask any questions about therapy.
