My communication style

First and foremost, an appointment is an EXPERIENCE. So, my strengths are those aspects described as HELPFUL by the person who sees me in an appointment, and may be different for each person based on their EXPERIENCE. I try to meet people WHERE THEY ARE so that they take away from sessions the feeling of personalized and attentive care.

My journey to mental healthcare

Psychiatry to me means doing our best to understand the whole person -- in context and with all the ups and downs and resources and challenges of life. I feel privileged and honored to work in this field and to earn trust from those whom I meet in my daily work.

Listening carefully and having a genuine interest in what is being shared is part of the process to collaborate in order to set and reach treatment goals together.
