Hi there, I'm Alison!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has been working with children, youth, and adults for the past eleven years. My background is special needs case management and parenting as a school social worker. My "why" when I think about my work is this: listening to clients' stories and sitting with them on their path to building resiliency.

My focus

I work with clients experiencing depression, anxiety, loss of a loved one, parenting challenges, job or relationship stress, divorce adjustment, school stress, or changes in friendships.

My approach

I communicate clearly about my skill set and treat you with respect and positive regard. I want you to leave each session feeling validated and better understood than when you arrived.

My communication style

In the first session, we will discuss what brought you to seek help and your expectations of the therapeutic process. I will explain to you what informed consent is and ask if you have any questions. I will discuss how communication with me works in-between sessions and discuss how many sessions I believe may be required.
