My practice is based on compassion and empathy. I have an interactive approach so you never feel like I'm "just listening" without giving feedback that you can apply.

I enjoy working with people experiencing depression, anxiety, OCD, and adult ADHD, really anyone who wants to improve how they feel about themselves and lead a happier, more fulfilling life!

My approach

I tailor my approach to the individual and pull from different modalities, often using CBT, ACT, Motivational Interviewing, mindfulness, and positive psychology.

My communication style

One of the most important elements of therapy is having a positive, trusting relationship and a general feeling that we "fit" well together. I strive for people to feel understood without judgment and welcome to be themselves. I often use gentle humor to relate to people, and I like to keep things informal.

Goal setting is a collaborative effort that we will review regularly to determine if the work we are doing is helpful.

Our first session

Our first session is an opportunity to get to know one another and find out if we are a good fit. I'll ask you questions about yourself and what you want to accomplish in therapy. We'll also cover basic ground rules for our work together, and I'll answer any questions you might have.
