Hi there, I'm Janelle!

I am a licensed clinician in California and Florida (soon to be in Washington) with over 20 years of professional work experience. I have experience in helping clients with stress, mood disorders, relationship issues, trauma, PTSD, self-issues, plus much more.

My focus

I've worked with a very diverse population, including veterans and active-duty military, couples, seniors, the aging community, and juveniles in the criminal justice system and foster care system, women and their challenges. I can work with it all. No judgment here.

My approach

I believe in treating everyone with respect and dignity. Showing compassion and sensitivity toward each other is also important. My therapeutic approach is eclectic, which means I use different treatment modalities while we work together. Taking the first step to sign up for therapy can take courage, and I commend you for getting started!

My communication style

I am a very direct person. With that being said, I am very empathetic, supportive, and compassionate. We will work collaboratively with exploration, self-reflection, and goal orientation. My ultimate goal is for you to become the very best version of yourself!

My journey to mental healthcare

Initially, I started with Psychiatry, then changed to Psychology with an emphasis on forensics and Children. Then it transitions into social work. I wanted to be in a profession that helps, gives, and pays it forward. I would refer to myself as an empath at heart. I am about finding peace, balance, and grounding in my faith.

My goals for you

We work collaboratively because I am NOT therapy. However, my purpose is to assist with exploration, deeper insight, and awareness of behavior and patterns. I will be your BIGGEST cheerleader, providing support and encouragement along the way. I will also hold you accountable. I don't want you to continue the cycle and remain stuck.

Our first session

The first session will be gathering information, asking and answering questions, and me sharing myself with you. This would be our initial opportunity to build a relationship.
