My communication style

I blend evidence-based practices with warmth and intuition. My clients say that I am highly personable, practical, and good at getting to the root of an issue quickly. I enjoy working with people of all ages, genders, cultural backgrounds and identities.

My journey to mental healthcare

I knew that I wanted to be a therapist the first moment I learned what a therapist was. I always felt there was a connection between emotional experience and physical health. I gravitated towards understanding a person's history and social context in order to understand their ailments, needs and behaviors.

My goals for you

By the end of treatment, my goal is for every client to know everything I know, so that they can continue to be their own therapist as well as help those around them.

Our first session

I believe that the connection in the room is more important than any modality I may use. I focus on giving clients an idea of how I see our work developing, giving examples and samplings of interventions that I may use. You will have a good idea of what the rest of the therapy will look like after our first visit or two.
