My communication style

It's important to me that you feel comfortable and heard. I provide an opportunity to share your story in a non-judgmental, supportive environment. Past clients have told me I'm easy to talk with, providing therapy through productive conversations. I love to laugh with my clients and have been known to cry with them, as well.

My journey to mental healthcare

My passion for helping people began as I saw my family and friends struggle with really tough life situations. For the past 29 years, I have dedicated my life to the field of social work. When I first started, I worked with pregnant teens, undocumented farm workers, children with mental health issues, and within the criminal justice system.

My goals for you

I believe in meeting you where you are and in your self-determination. You may come to therapy with one or two goals in mind, but often leave achieving several others you worked on along the way. As a therapist, I'm here to support you as you create your path to a healthier mindset.

Our first session

First sessions can be tough, especially if you have things you want to share that you're apprehensive to say to a stranger. I understand that we may not get to the hard work in the first session, so I challenge you to continue sessions so you have the opportunity to feel safe and comfortable in a non-judgmental environment.
