Thank you for reaching out. I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. In addition, I have a Ph.D. in counseling from the University of Southern California (USC). I look forward to working with you.

My focus

I work with a broad spectrum of individuals. Life can be complicated and challenging. Are you depressed, stressed, grieving, or experiencing postpartum blues? Is your mind racing? As a therapist with a doctorate from the University of Southern California (USC), I will create together an environment that is safe, kind, and non-judgmental.

My approach

I often use Cognitive Behavior Therapy as well as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. These are used efficiently with patient feedback.

I would describe my communication style as I emphasize support and active listening in a warm and safe environment.

My journey to mental healthcare

I first worked in Education for a number of years. Even though I loved my work, I felt I could make a difference working directly with individuals. With my Doctorate in hand, I proceeded to work in Counseling.

My goals for you

I am very flexible as my goals vary with each individual, depending on their specific concerns. Goals are often evolving during therapy.

Our first session

The first session is an opportunity to get to know each other. This is usually performed by direct questions about the client's concerns. Further discussions will then center around those concerns. The first session is warm and caring.
