I use a person-centered approach to build rapport with my clients. I have worked with children, adolescents, families, adults, and incarcerated individuals.
My focus
I have worked with children and their caregivers who experience behavioral problems and trauma. I feel comfortable working with adolescents and adults who experience depression, anxiety, and trauma. I have also treated adolescents and adults with aggressive and violent behaviors using Aggression Replacement Training.
My approach
The theoretical approaches that I have used are Carl Rogers' Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, components of Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy. My approach will vary based on my client's presenting problem and their goals.
