I use a direct conversational style that concentrates on building the trust necessary to achieve the best possible therapeutic outcomes. I work to explore my client's strengths and interests to facilitate progress on goals.

My journey to mental healthcare

Taking a High School class in Psychology helped me to release myself from negative, inaccurate self-judgments. I realized that I had a talent for helping others to do the same. I have thoroughly enjoyed a lifelong academic and practical education in psychotherapy.

My goals for you

Setting, refining, and evaluating progress on specific goals is a central task of client-centered therapy. Quite often, the client makes progress as they refine goals to be more congruent with their needs.

Our first session

I begin by clearly stating the ethical standards I must meet regarding confidentiality, consent, and limits in the psychotherapeutic relationship. I work to establish common grounds for talking with each other and empower the client to make this their therapy.
