My communication style

I do well with clients who are looking for a discussion, not a one-sided lecture, or me asking, "How does that make you feel" with everything you say. I do my best to take my own advice, and know that change is much easier said than done. I won't ask you to do something I haven't already done or won't try myself.

My journey to mental healthcare

Becoming a counselor was a natural extension of previous work where I had opportunities to help others improve their situations and learn.

My goals for you

I like to have a variety of realistic small goals that support your overall goal of feeling and functioning better. Although we will focus on your clinical needs, I believe we are not defined by our problems; we are defined by our ability to overcome them.
