My communication style

I communicate with a calm demeanor and tone to help patients feel comfortable. I practice active listening to make patients feel understood. Bringing some humor into sessions also helps patients feel comfortable and at ease.

My journey to mental healthcare

My journey in becoming a therapist began when I started working as a teacher's aide at a school. The students always felt very comfortable coming to me to talk about their problems, and I listened to them and helped them come up with coping skills and solutions. Shortly after, I decided to go back to school and start my studies.

My goals for you

My approach to goal setting is very collaborative. I want clients to work with me in setting the goals they want. When a client is not sure about what goals to set, I point out patterns or help them walk through what they want to achieve.

Our first session

During the first session, you should expect to feel comfortable with me. I like to get to know my clients, but I will never push too hard to make you uncomfortable.
