Life throws a myriad of stressors our way, and often it can be helpful to have a partner to process and work through these life events. When I am not practicing therapy, I spend time with my family, taking my dog to the beach, playing soccer, and spending quality time with friends.
My focus
I work with clients of all ages, and I have extensive experience working with all kinds of grief and loss in addition to anxiety and depression. Other areas of expertise include Chronic or Acute illness, issues related to aging, life transition issues, stress management, caregiver stress, and mood and thought disorders.
My approach
My approach to therapy is based on the needs of my client. I most frequently use a psychodynamic approach to help clients recognize behaviors for what they are and work together to build healthy coping mechanisms. It is an exploration of tying past events and subconscious constructs into present behavior and behavior patterns.
