My communication style

My communication style is calm, accepting, and accommodating, and like my therapy approach, my communication style varies depending on each client's care. I will always check in first; I want my clients to feel comfortable sharing anything with me. I encourage my clients to come as they are and express themselves freely and openly.

My journey to mental healthcare

As a first-generation American of Mexican descent, growing up as a language and cultural broker for the adults in my life and with different populations, I like to say that I have come full circle to work as a therapist. Often, we feel alone and misunderstood in our journey of life.

My goals for you

By respecting your autonomy and working collaboratively, we determine your goals together. If you have difficulty identifying goals, I can provide suggestions based on clinical judgment. You can set, modify, and change your goals as you progress in your healing journey.

Our first session

In a first session with me, my clients can expect to feel heard and accepted, and have a good sense of who I am and my therapeutic approach. We will discuss any urgent matters or get to know each other better. Clients will have a better understanding of what they can expect going forward in therapy.
