My communication style

I enjoy being socially interactive with my clients. I encourage you to be honest and open. I try to instill confidence as well as a sense of comfort. I will go as slow or as fast as necessary to ensure that you stay in your comfort zone.

My journey to mental healthcare

I have tried many careers in my life: soldier, construction worker, probation counselor. I chose to become a therapist after meeting very good people in this field who became my role models. I enjoy being a therapist and assisting others in reaching their therapeutic goals.

My goals for you

I believe goal setting is one of the most important aspects of therapy. I will revisit our therapeutic goals frequently and discuss goal setting with you as needed throughout the therapy sessions.

Our first session

I usually focus on rapport building during my first session and on getting to know you and your presenting issues. For me, focusing on your comfort level and confidence starting from the first session is important and encouraged.
