My focus

I'd like to work with the adult client population. I am a passionate and empathetic therapist with strong counseling abilities and an understanding of interpersonal and intrapersonal relationships. I have experience leading clients through grief, depression, anxiety, health issues, marital issues, aging, and other life-changing matters.

My approach

I utilize a few of the models of care: Wellness and Recovery, Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment, Cognitive Behavioral, Trauma Informed, Strength-based, Short-Term Solution Focused, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.

I use effective listening, empathy, compassion, and emotionally intelligent engagement. I have a soft and approachable demeanor, paying close attention to both my own body language and yours to create a space where you feel truly heard and understood.

My goals for you

Successful care is like a partnership between client and therapist with a client-driven, reachable, measurable, and evidence-based focus on goals. My clients' goals include becoming familiar with their own negative self-talk and triggers enough to develop functional coping skills.

Our first session

The first session includes a "get to know me and get to know you" focus. The connection a client feels during the first few sessions is very important. Something has to "click" for the client in a way that trust, communication, and the sense of being listened to and heard will incite the client's ability to benefit from the sought-out assistance.
