Hi there, I'm Candace!

I am a Licensed Psychotherapist with over 25 years of experience. I have practiced in different parts of the United States and consulted in Europe, with the military. I feel very lucky to have been able to work in various locations with such interesting clients. I look forward to meeting you and hearing your story.

My focus

Adults who are adjusting to stressful life situations: Trauma, loss, low self-esteem, and relationship difficulties. To promote increased resiliency and hope in their lives. To encourage clients to try new behaviors and coping styles that will improve their mood.

My approach

I use many therapeutic approaches based on the individuals I see. To name a few: Reality Therapy, CBT, and Psychodynamic.

Will reflect that I am non-judgmental, kind, respectful, friendly, laid back, assertive, and witty.

My journey to mental healthcare

When I was 18, I went into therapy with a wonderful woman. She helped me gain direction for my life and helped improve my self-esteem. It gave me hope for the future. I became a resilient person. Life continues to be fun despite the heartaches. I want to help others in this way.

Our first session

I would answer questions that you may have. I would discuss confidentiality. I would ask you about life events from your childhood until the present. We would discuss what brought you into therapy. We would discuss what you would like to achieve by coming to therapy.
