Hi there, I'm Marlin!
Beginning therapy reflects courage—the courage to confront what has become intolerable, to enter what can be an uncomfortable encounter with problems, and at times with oneself. I see my role as a collaborator who helps people strengthen their resolve, clarify what matters most, and bring long-standing patterns of suffering to an end.
My focus
I work best with people at a crossroads—life transitions or moments when old ways of coping or relating no longer work. I work with individuals struggling with depression, loss of meaning, trauma, or disordered eating. In my work with couples, I help improve communication, reduce conflict, and foster greater alignment around shared responsibility.
My approach
Rather than defining a person by a diagnosis, I look at how problems speak and operate —how depression, for example, may show up through sadness, loneliness, or hopelessness. Creating this distance often reduces shame and allows clients to reconnect with their values, strengths, and preferred ways of being.
