Hi there, I'm Jennifer!
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has worked with many different people in all stages of life. From working in prisons, jails, the community, and currently with military members and families, I have gained a lot of experience in understanding each individual. I enjoy helping each person obtain a better understanding of themselves.
My focus
I enjoy people who are ready to dig in and ready to work. I do not give a lot of unwanted homework. I teach coping skills and relaxation techniques. I can be direct or supportive. I also do not mind working on building a trusting relationship to help with a strong therapeutic relationship.
My approach
I have been trained in CPT, PE, and EMDR, in which I am a consultant. When working with relationships, I use a lot from the Gottman method. I have a lot of parenting training and techniques. I like to set 1-3 goals to focus on but am flexible to meet you where you are for the session. I like to encourage self awareness and growth to better oneself.
