Hi there, I'm Angélica!

I am Angélica Figueroa, (ella/she/her). I am a neurodivergent, bilingual Mexican/Latina LCSW supporting neurodivergent BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ folx in processing the impact of trauma, such as, systemic oppression, racism, and preverbal trauma on our identity, mental health, relationships, parenting, perinatal and postpartum periods.

My focus

I specialize in working with BIPOC adults who identify as neurodiverse, LGBTQIA+, first-generation children of immigrants, and BIPOC parents. I focus on complex trauma, generational trauma, oppression trauma, cultural stress, grief and loss, PTSD,/C-PTSD, perinatal mood disorders, anxiety, neurodiversity affirming, and family conflict.

My approach

I am dedicated to a client-centered, affirming, inclusive, collaborative, whole-person, and compassionate approach to therapy. My approach blends EMDR Therapy, parts work, polyvagal theory, attachment, and systems perspective. Emphasis is placed on collaboration, cultural humility, and addressing the effects of trauma on your mental health.
