My communication style

I believe in meeting a client where they are at and matching their communication. No topics are off-limits; I am no stranger to the world and welcome the chaos it brings.

My journey to mental healthcare

I started my career working with military families. I began working for the psychiatric emergency response team (PERT) and spent time riding in a cop car with a partner. My primary work was to provide emergency mental health services. It was during this time that I realized I wanted to work directly with first responders.

My goals for you

I take a solution-focused approach, building on the skills my clients already have while introducing new ones. I believe the client is the expert in their own life and the one doing the work. I am just here to help equip the client with additional tools and strategies along the way.

Our first session

I like to get to know the client and understand what brought them to therapy and where they would like to start. Not every therapist is right for every client, and I like to use the first session to make sure the client feels it's a good fit.
