My communication style

My approach in therapy is to allow the client time and space to teach me about themselves. I want them to feel like they are in a safe space to share and not be judged. I believe that the more I can understand the client's unique story, the easier it will be to collaborate in reaching a goal.

My journey to mental healthcare

My journey began in child development and childcare, where I learned the importance of the family system. As a discharge planner in an ER, I worked with families to improve health outcomes. Later, as a social worker in dialysis and case management, I provided counseling to patients and families.

My goals for you

I approach goal setting as a collaborative effort-based topic that the client agrees to work on. I use various techniques, such as laddering, which allows the client to trace their thoughts back to a core belief to make positive changes in their life.

Our first session

During the first session, the clients should be prepared to discuss their needs or concerns and will receive an introduction to me, the services, as well as limitations to services.
