My focus

I work with a lot of clients who have past traumas, grief, substance abuse issues, and relationship issues. I love it when a client is highly motivated to get to a better place in their mental health.

My approach

As a clinician, I rely on CBT a lot to help clients recognize unhealthy thinking patterns and understand how it is impacting their mental health. We then work to replace those negative patterns with healthier ones. Additionally, I work with clients on past traumas to process and understand how to move forward.

I tend to be very direct and compassionate at the same time.

My journey to mental healthcare

Previously, I worked in Investment Banking, which was a lot of fun, but I was lacking fulfillment. I went and obtained my Master's in Social Work so I could become a therapist, and it has been the best decision. When a client is vulnerable and opens up, and we can find a way to improve their mental health is the most amazing privilege!

My goals for you

Most clients struggle with low self-confidence, so I consistently remind them of their positive attributes and teach them to recognize their progress and their accomplishments. This helps motivate them. Healing is comprised of several small steps that eventually result in huge progress.

Our first session

Being a therapist is like putting together a puzzle. I need to understand the big picture and the small nuances. All the puzzle pieces are provided by the client. The first session is about getting the larger pieces of the puzzle by getting background information. Then I work with the client to set treatment goals.
