I work on developing trust and a caring approach with clients. I work to clarify feelings and issues and help clients find answers and improve their situation.

My journey to mental healthcare

I have always been a social worker, even as a child, trying to help people around me. I was going to go into nursing in college, but I took a psychology class and fell in love. I finished my degree in psychology and then went to graduate school for an MA in psychology and then an MSW in social work.

My goals for you

Clients may come into therapy with goals and expectations, and we would review them and together set appropriate goals that are realistic. Often, people are not clear about what they expect from therapy, so it may take some exploring to determine what the clients would like to set their goals.

Our first session

In the first session with a client, I would discuss what they hope to achieve in therapy and get to know their history and current situation. In order to work together, we would need to develop a trusting relationship.
