Hi there, I'm Wendy!

I have been working in the Social Work field for well over 20 years. I started in the world of substance use/abuse assessment and treatment. I earned my master's degree in Social Work from Cal State Los Angeles in 2010 and have been working as a therapist since 2011.

My focus

I have worked with children as young as 6 years old to adults as mature as 82 years of age. I have treated conditions such as ADHD, depression, anxiety, and OCD.

My approach

I operate from a strength-based, solution-focused perspective, while incorporating CBT and trauma-focused CBT when needed.

My tone is always exploratory so that patients feel welcome and invited to share in their sessions with me.

My journey to mental healthcare

I knew I wanted to be in a helping profession at 14 years old. When I was in graduate school, my brother was deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. I got to witness the difficulty he encountered once he redeployed home. This is when I decided that my career choice would involve helping military veterans readjust to the civilian world.

I work with patients on setting goals, as the patient should be involved in every part of treatment formation.
