I work to create a safe, trusting, and accepting relationship with my clients struggling with depression, anxiety, early life trauma, and family-of-origin issues.

My focus

I work with individuals who are struggling with depression, anxiety, issues from their family of origin, early life trauma, life stresses, and grief and loss. I also work with couples struggling with relationship issues involving intimacy and communication.

My approach

I believe that we all are on a constant search for purpose and meaning in our lives and that therapy is a journey of self-discovery leading to repair and healing. I use a Humanistic, Psychodynamic Client-Centered approach to therapy to help develop the tools necessary to make significant changes in the way clients cope.

My communication style

I create a safe, trusting, and accepting environment for my clients. I listen and strive to assure my clients that they are being heard and understood. I believe that a strong therapeutic relationship is the key to helping a client heal.

My journey to mental healthcare

I began therapy when I was 15 after my father died. That experience set me on my road to becoming a therapist. I wanted, and continue to want, to help people the way I was helped.

My goals for you

I work with the client to set small-step goals that will not be overwhelming. Goals are client-driven and focused on healing.

The first session is a time to get to know one another and to see if it is a good fit. I am open to all questions and strive to make the client feel comfortable sitting with me.
