My communication style

I am open to letting the patient set the agenda for a given session. I ask questions when necessary and follow up on any topics or lingering concerns from the previous session.

My journey to mental healthcare

I have always wanted to have direct contact with people and have a career that involves helping others. I always appreciate being able to connect with clients and learn from them as well.

My goals for you

I always start by making sure I understand what the client's goals are for therapy. I will express any concerns I might have and clarify any questions. I try to make the process of goal setting and accomplishment one of teamwork.

Our first session

In the first session, I work to understand not only what brings the client to therapy but also an understanding of their personal history. I also want to discuss any past experiences with counseling and try to understand what has and has not worked for the client.
