I understand therapy as an opportunity for renewing and empowering ourselves, fostering personal growth that affects all parties involved. My overall approach is to provide hope and the sense that change, regardless of the magnitude, is possible.
My focus
I mainly work with adults and older adult clients who might be experiencing symptoms of depression, anxiety, and grief. I also have experience working with mood disorders. As well, I have devoted a great deal of my work to addressing trauma and possible substance use issues that can relate to it.
My approach
My strength is helping people feel safe discussing important personal topics. I use evidence-based approaches customized to each person's needs, including CBT, Solution-focused Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. I understand mind/body/spiritual unity and am a proponent of Behavioral Activation.
