I have extensive experience providing diagnostic assessment and medication management for patients across the lifespan. I have a strong clinical foundation shaped by work in inpatient psychiatry, outpatient clinics, emergency settings, and multidisciplinary treatment teams serving both civilian and veteran populations.

My journey to mental healthcare

I worked as a mental health nurse in psychiatric nursing, which helped enhance my understanding of mental health issues. I was able to obtain certification as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. I engage in ongoing education to keep my knowledge and skills current, as mental health practice continues to evolve.

I start by building a trusting relationship. I help the client set goals that are specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound (SMART). I discuss and prioritize the goals based on the client's values and urgency. We will work together to create an action plan that outlines the steps needed to reach the goals.
