I am a licensed Psychiatric Family Nurse Practitioner. I find my ability to easily relate to and connect with others to be especially beneficial while helping patients work through their mental health struggles. My ideal patient-provider relationships are communicative and long-lasting.
My focus
I enjoy working with adult patients ages 18 and older who are struggling with day-to-day coping, having relationship issues, or are adjusting to life transitions. I have extensive experience working with individuals who have experienced trauma, including Veterans. I also have work experience with patients who are struggling with eating disorders.
My approach
My approach to treatment is building a strong provider-patient relationship through empathy, active listening, and validation. This creates a safe and supportive environment for patients to explore their concerns. I often utilize cognitive behavioral therapy to identify cognitive distortions and maladaptive behaviors.
