I help clients manage stress, anxiety, addictions, family conflicts, and trauma-related distress. My focus

My ideal client is anyone who has acknowledged that mental health issues have started to negatively impact their day-to-day life. I focus on showing these individuals their own value, as well as the value of the many things we can do ourselves to feel better and improve our outcomes.

My approach

I use a person-centered model that acknowledges how we work together is just as important as what we work on. I come to the table as helper, educator, and uplifter. Once I become familiar with your specific needs, we will utilize evidence-based skills, tools, and techniques to help you find relief from distress.

My communication style

I offer a more casual communication style than what many clients may be used to, though all interactions can be presented in a more formal style if desired. All communication will be kind, consistent, and supportive of your needs. This helps us develop a greater sense of trust throughout our therapeutic process.

My journey to mental healthcare

I started as a Health Navigator at a mental health clinic, supporting clients in making long-term health goals, helping to schedule, and providing transportation. I later completed intake assessments with new clients before receiving tuition assistance and completing my counseling degree. I am very thankful for this opportunity.

We will work to utilize mindfulness to both develop and monitor the progress of the ongoing mental health goals that we create together. I will provide a consistent sense of support, as well as accountability, to ensure that you are meeting your goals on your preferred timeframe.

Our first session

During our first session, we will focus on getting to know each other while I learn more about you and your mental health needs. We will discuss the reasons for seeking therapy, some background, and what a typical day looks like for you. You will also be encouraged to ask questions about me, the platform, and the therapy process in general.
