My communication style

I am a bit proponent of communication, honesty, openness, and willingness to hear hard things. No matter the situation you are in I will ask you questions, dig as deep as you are willing to go, pause when it is needed, and confront gently when there is something that needs to be addressed. I also want communication if we are not the right fit.

My journey to mental healthcare

I had a very difficult childhood with a fair amount of trauma, military deployments after 9/11, parenting a child with special needs, and in general many difficult experiences. Throughout my healing journey I realized I wanted to help others heal. This desire led me on my journey to where I am today.

My goals for you

We will talk about goals, what you want to work on, and how you might want to work on it. I work collaboratively with the client to ensure we are working towards the same goals. If I see something to be added I will discuss this with my client. I will use therapeutic techniques, practicing skills and interviewing to work towards goals.

Our first session

I will introduce myself, discuss paperwork, and listen as you tell me your story. We will work on gathering your history, concerns, what you want to work on, and anything else that you feel that I should know while I walked beside you on your journey.
