Hi there, I'm Martha!

I am an experienced psychologist who is genuinely caring and interested in your needs and journey. I deal with each client as an individual, and I am a good listener. I work especially well with people recovering from childhood trauma, PTSD, depression, anxiety, and grief/bereavement issues.

My focus

I work well with survivors of trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, bereavement/grief, family and relationship issues, and issues of self-esteem and self-confidence.

My approach

I employ methods from many theoretical backgrounds. I utilize person-centered psychodynamic therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, family systems, and other approaches depending on your needs.

My communication style

I am a warm, kind, caring professional. I am deeply interested in my clients and in assisting them in their journey to improve their life experience. I am a good listener, completely non-judgmental, and supportive of my clients.

My journey to mental healthcare

I have always been a person people confided in and talked to when they were hurting since elementary school. I pursued my love for helping others by getting my PhD in Clinical Psychology at Virginia Tech. I love my work, and I find it extremely fulfilling. It is truly my calling.
