My approach is Person-Centered, Strengths-Based, and Trauma-Informed. I focus on the whole person, considering the individuals, experiences, and life areas that influence where you are today. I believe you are the expert in your own life and capable of finding solutions and building resilience in a safe and empowering environment.

My communication style

I create an environment and relationship that is safe and supportive, so you are free to express yourself without fear of judgment. I strive to be calm, empathetic, supportive, and authentic. I want you to feel comfortable being open and honest with me about who you are, your struggles, and what you want for yourself.

My journey to mental healthcare

I have always been drawn to helping others. I believe all people possess the ability to make positive change; they just need a supportive, judgment-free environment. I enjoy learning about your experiences, how they have shaped you, and how I can support your effort to build coping skills, resiliency, and self-empowerment.

My approach to goal setting is collaborative and strengths-based, determining what you would like to achieve and what skills, supports, and resources you already possess. During our time together, we will work on building mutual trust, identifying strengths, and revisiting goals to track progress and assess barriers.
