Hi there, I'm Chelsea!

I have worked for the last 7 years with children, teens, and adults. I am a Registered Play Therapist and specialize in working with children and parents. I specialize in working with people of all ages who have anxiety, depression, mood disorders, trauma, life stresses, and grief.

My focus

I love working with those who have trauma, anxiety, or a desire to gain better parenting skills to support their children as they work on their own mental health and healing. I will hold space for healing, growth, and change.

My approach

I believe in working collaboratively with my clients towards healing and often take a client-centered approach towards care. I am a Registered Play Therapist and love psychoeducation in my practice to better understand the why behind things to help work towards change.

My communication style

I will follow your lead and work with you to understand the nervous system and ways to address symptoms, stressors, behaviors, and meet your own goals. I am client-centered and work to understand your culture, beliefs, and needs as we work towards growth and healing.

My journey to mental healthcare

I fell into social work after graduating from college. Once I found out that play therapy was a thing, I knew that was the job for me. I love social justice, and working to support families and healing, and have been doing this work since.

Using psychoeducation, coping strategies, and a client-centered approach, I will support you and hold space for you to express your thoughts and feelings and work towards meeting your goals.

Our first session

The first session is information gathering and diagnosis for insurance requirements. I will work with you to make this as easy as possible. This session is unlike any other, and once we are through that, you will be back in charge, and we will work to meet the goals we make. I'm looking forward to working with you.
