I know how difficult it can be to find a therapist. Thank you for taking the time to read this. I'm offering how to accept your thoughts, emotions, and uncomfortable silences, while using skills to be in the moment and less reactive. We can use breath work, guided imagery, somatic work, exposure therapy, and journaling.
My focus
I help clients with depression, grief, anxiety, and life adjustments. I've focused on trauma and addiction recovery, as well as facilitated men's groups. In private practice, helping you find peace with an unstable mood, trauma, addiction, anger, grief, or a life adjustment is part of the focus.
My approach
I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to guide discussions to help rethink our situations, see our beliefs, and move forward with valued action. ACT helps us experience life in a more accepting manner, rather than pushing it away. Although this sounds counterintuitive, leaning into the pain helps lessen the pain.
